Need advice about a lawyer....?

If a lawyer send you a bill conected to a car accident --first off is the lawyer trying to get $60,0000 from you when you only got 150,000

too steep? second if you sign o have the assets distributed by the lawyer is he going to charge you even more???? Should the lawyer have charged for phone calls on top of that???Need advice about a lawyer....?
$60,000 is too much they are entitled to one third which would be 50,000. He is allowed to charge you for phone calls and it is normal for them to pay the medical bills related to your case and such which could be why he is charging the extra 10,000 for the distribution and the phone calls. You should have known and signed an agreement up front before he represented you, exactly what his fee was and what you were going to be charged for. If such a document exists, then you have no choice but to pay the man, sorry
It depends on your agreement with the lawyer when they were hired.

Was it a specific percentage? What wasn't specifically included in that percentage? Normally costs to third parties are not included, but phone calls and copying are.

Whether or not the cost for distributing assets is included depends on if the assets are in hand, or if this is an interim bill.

What did you agree to pay? Is this bill in line with what you agreed to?
